Interior Painting in Albuquerque - Cherry Hills Neighborhood
Here are some photos of a home that Cutting Edge Painting, Inc. recently painted in the Cherry Hills Neighborhood in Albuquerque's north east heights before the homeowner moved in. The home was fairly old, so this project had a pretty extensive scope of work including the de-construction of a build in entertainment center, removal of some really outdated paneling, major drywall repair and texturing, painting of some cabinetry, matching stain, and installation of a new three and a quarter inch colonial style baseboard in the four bedrooms.
All of the existing wood doors were primed with two coats of Insulx Stix High Performance Bonding primer, and finished with three coats of premium quality Benjamin Moore Advanced waterborne alkyd enamel in our shop. The doors and trim work were sanded and cleaned before the primer was applied. Any cracks and nail holes in the doors and trim work were filled with acrylic caulking and putty. The large defects in the doors were filled with automotive grade body filler. We installed new door hardware as well. The customer was really glad that we could help them take care of so many aspects of their home improvement project because it really simplified the coordination of the whole thing.
Essentially we did the work that could have required them to have a different drywall contractor, trim carpenter, and house painter. We even helped them to coordinate an electrician to move some switches and lights. The customer picked some great colors and the whole thing came together beautifully.
